What is summer?

Summer is no school. Late nights and even later mornings. Freedom of choice.

Summer is swim season. The pool, ocean, lake. Enough soaking to create sickness for large bodies of water, but you’ll want it back by mid-December.

Summer is not knowing what day of the week it is.

Summer is a hotel breakfast in the morning and leftovers throughout the day (sometimes plural). Waffles, sausage, and yogurt galore.

Summer is a chance to tackle all those projects the school year put on hold.

Summer is a time of refreshment, to check in with yourself and remember what really matters, your morals, and values. A time to reset.
