It seems that no matter how many years pass, my situation on Valentine’s Day always ends up being the same: a wishful single.
“I wanted to have plans for Valentine’s Day,” one of my best friends told me. “The plans I ended up getting are not the plans I wanted.”
I couldn’t relate more.
Perhaps God is using this discontentment of mine to remind me of what really matters: Him. He is all I need. I don’t need tokens of affection or even the significant other who would offer them, I just need Him.
Although it’s nice to have a hand to hold or shoulder to rest your head on, you don’t need another person to complete you. So many girls want a guy to save them when a man did, 2,000 years ago, on a cross.
You are loved so much more than you will ever know by Someone who died to know you.

How it must break His heart when we walk around so desperate for a love He waits to give us each and every day.
We should stop loving love and fall in love with our King because our relationship with God is the most important relationship we will ever have.
That’s your one job if you were only to do one thing. If you take care of your relationship with God, He will take care of everything else.
